As a field trip, students have an opportunity to travel throughout Japan and experience Japanese culture and nature.

Many students use Japanese with native or near-native proficiency, others as a second or additional language. Classes are generally separated to better respond to the needs of these two groups.

These classes aim to improve and develop reading, writing, speaking, analyzing, and critical thinking skills.

Middle Year Program (MYP)

The school takes a holistic approach to nurturing knowledge, skills, and attitudes in learning. Concept-based learning allows for the development of lifelong learners. Students study at least two languages and are involved in service-related activities. IB Diploma Program

Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity, and Services (CAS), and Extended Essay (EE) are requirements, as outlined by the program. The school offers the following Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) courses in each of the subject groups:

Students in Grade 10 engage in Personal Projects, where they identify an area of interest to explore in-depth in six months. In Japanese courses, students are involved in nationwide haiku contests and local speech contests.
